'My Bed' |
You think I’m joking? Okay let's confirm from Tracey Emin, the British artist whose messy (dirty)bed/room installation sold for a record £ 2.5 million in 2015. The installation is currently on loan for public viewing for the next decade at the Tate Modern Museum, London.

According to the artist, Emin, once she got out of the bed, she looked at the mess she had created and wanted to take it out of the bedroom context and put on display in a white gallery space! My Bed caused quite a stir in the art world and media when it went on display at the Tate Gallery in 1999. It would go on to be shortlisted for the Turner Prize.
Part of the set-up includes used condoms, an overflowing ashtray, dirty underwear, empty bottles of alcohol, dirty crumpled sheets with tell-tale signs of human secretion. Ewwww!
